Anoki Restaurant is hosting this year’s Midland Doctors charity fundraising lunch on Sunday 3 May.

The charity was established in 2005 following the Southeast Asian Earthquake, which totally devastated parts of northern Pakistan, India and Afghanistan and now works to provide a positive impact on health care in Pakistan for the poor and less privileged.

A 100-bed Medical Institute has been founded in Kashmir, close to the seat of the earthquake. Modelled on the NHS, it welcomes consultants from hospitals across the UK who offer their time and their expertise free of charge.
Unlike other charities working within Pakistan, Midland Doctors is led by NHS Doctors and senior consultants, who provide a vital lifeline in their medical management and care.

Naveed Khaliq said:

“This is the second time we have hosted the Midlands Doctors Association and are delighted to welcome the charity’s guests again this year. This is a very important cause and we are proud to offer our support.”

Midlands Doctors co-secretary, Ajaz Najib added:

“At Midlands Doctors, our mission is to provide a high level of healthcare to Northern Pakistan and beyond.  Support from businesses like Anoki allows us to raise vitally needed funds. We would like to thank Nav and his team for their continued help.”

A limited number of tickets are still available for the event, priced at £50 each. For further information, or to make a donation to the charity, visit: www.midlanddoctors.org/donate
