ANOKI HELPS RAISE FUNDS FOR NEW HOSPITAL IN PAKISTANAnoki, has brought The Midlands Doctors Association (MDAUK) a step closer to its £1 million target after helping to raise £28,000 at a charity dinner hosted at its Burton Restaurant. Anoki hosted the dinner in aid of the charity, which aims to provide specialist medical facilities to areas of Northern Pakistan left devastated by an earthquake.
At the event, guests were treated to reception drinks before sampling Anoki’s award-winning food. The Midlands Doctors Association (MDAUK) was formed by a group of doctors following a medical relief trip to northern Pakistan after it suffered a devastating earthquake in 2005, which killed 87,000 people and injured thousands.
The charity, which is a no admin cost charity, aims to help improve the area, which is still suffering from the damages of the natural disaster, and build a specialist medical facility capable of treating greater numbers of patients and provide training to doctors the region of North Kashmir.
